The first daughter of the Rawlings, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has urged the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to make amends with former First Lady Mrs. Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

Mrs. Konadu was played integral roles in the formation of the NDC led by her late husband but has fallen out with the party and formed her own party, National Democratic Party after losing a flag bearer race to late President John Evans Atta Mills.

In a short speech at the first-anniversary commemoration ceremony of her late father on Friday, November 12, 2021, the Klottey Korle MP said: “I want to use this opportunity to ask that as we remember the old man, who we never expected to pass when he did, let’s make amends”.

“Let us approach those we have wronged”, she urged.

“At this juncture, I would want to say what no one wants to hear: Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings is an integral part of the party”, she noted.

She urged the leadership of the NDC to do all it can to bring back the founder and leader of the 31st December Women’s Movement.

“Let us do all we can to bring her back”, Dr. Agyemang-Rawlings appealed.

She insisted that although her mother may have fallen out with the party she once believed in, it is time she comes home.  “We are calling on our elders, this is the time”.

“In every family, there is conflict but there are also elders who will mediate the conflict”.

“We don’t know what tomorrow holds but if we want victory to rescue the people of Ghana from their current situation, let us do what we have to do” she noted.
