Three small scale miners lost their lives on Friday November 12, 2021 when they were ambushed by armed robbers.

The Friday incident also saw more than five people sustaining various degrees on injuries when the miners were returning home from their mining sites at Adaboi in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.

Reports indicated that the area is noted for such attacks.

Confirming the attack, the Upper Denkyira West District Police Commander, ASP Ernest Agyakum said the incident happened around 8 pm Friday, November 12th when two persons were killed on the spot including an Okada rider while the other one died at the hospital.

The three bodies have since been deposited at the Dunkwa On-Offin government hospital morgue waiting for autopsy.
