Police in the Eastern region have arrested two persons for forcibly stripping two teenagers naked and publicly parading them on the streets of Akuapem-Adawso.

According to the Police, “it is also alleged that suspects severely assaulted the teenagers while parading them on the streets on Friday, October 29, 2021”.

A media release signed by Director General of the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service ACP Kwesi Ofori, said “the victims have been transported to Accra for immediate medical attention and treatment at the Police hospital”.

It said Psychologists have also been assigned to counsel the families of the victims.

The statement concluded that, “we continue to strongly urge the public to desist from engaging in unlawful acts or risk being arrested and prosecuted”.
