The Mental Health Authority has asked the media and other partners not to relent in their support towards suicide awareness.

As of June 2021, over 470 people had attempted suicide, a situation the Authority described as disturbing.

There were also news reports about either attempted suicide or someone dying as a result of suicide.

The Mental Health Authority extends an open arms invitation everyone to make personal commitment to acquire some knowledge on mental health and particularly the warnings signs of suicidal thoughts, adding that the knowledge acquired can save someone’s life.
