The Ho District Magistrate Court 2 has remanded into Police Custody 21-year-old footballer, Fenuku Frank Junior, the Prime suspect in the Police recruitment fraud case being handled by the Volta Regional Police Command.

The suspect according to Police Investigations, had created a fake Facebook account in the name and image of the Volta regional Police Commander, DCOP Edward Oduro Kwateng, advertising to assist potential applicants to be enlisted into the Ghana Police Service in the ongoing recruitment exercise.

Suspect Fenuku Frank Junior was arrested on Wednesday September 28, 2021 at Zongo Junction, Adenta in the Greater Accra region when he came out of his hideout to meet other victims and take some monies from them.

When the case was call for initial hearing on Thursday September 30, 2021, the prosecution pleaded with the judge to give the Police sometime to do further investigation to be sure if the suspect was actually working alone or with some accomplices.

The plea was granted thus remanding the suspect in Police custody till October 14, 2021.
