The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has called on various security agencies to with immediate effect, stope selling recruitment forms, describing it as fraudulent and corrupt.

The party maintained that the move is an abuse of the fundamental rights of potential recruits who are expressing interest in joining the security agencies to serve their country.

Addressing the press on Wednesday September 1, 2021, Chairperson of the party Nana Akosua Frimpomaa has called all the security agencies that engage in the practice to stop with an immediate effect.

For her, the security agencies know the number of recruits they require at specific recruitment window, but would sell forms above the recruits they intend to employ.

She thus called on the security agencies to refund the monies collected from those who purchased the forms saying the approach being adopted is “legalized corruption”.

She also blamed the approach used in the recruitment of security personnel which she believes contribute greatly to indiscipline and misconduct on the part of some officers in the various security services.

The CPP Chairperson gave the government three weeks ultimatum to ensure that it stops the sale of the recruitment forms or face the wrath of the CPP.

Corruption

According to her, corruption under this administration is terrible and had led to several businesses in the private sector collapsing.

The situation she lamented has caused unemployment and forcing several graduates to depend on the state for jobs.
