Stephen Forson, manager of Shugalord cum entertainment pundit has explained the reason behind his artiste’s new look.

Speaking in an interview with Sammy Flex, host of Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon FM, the artiste manager revealed that it was difficult identifying Shugalord as an artiste whenever they stepped out.

Adding that there were instances where “he was climbing on stage to perform and was declined because they could not identify him as an artiste.”

Forson further stated that it was then deemed necessary for management to re-strategize and add a new look to the artiste. He said “after a series of brainstorming, we decided to rebrand.”

In a new photo, Shugalord is spotted to have dreads on, with three white cowries hanging.

Explaining the new look, Forson said this look was to give him (Shugalord) that African prince kind of look to compliment his kind of music, emphasizing that “he sings love songs and sweet music. This look is to give him that Africa’s Shuga vibe.”

According to the artiste manager, after the outdoor of Shugalord’s new look, the reception from the public has been overwhelming.

Narrating their experience after the outdoor of Shugarlord’s new look, he said “it has been amazing ever since we did it… Whenever we are driving in traffic, the guys now move to his side and shout bossu…people now identify he is a musician. The recognition has been tremendous to compliment the kind of music he is doing.”

Shugarlord is currently signed onto Kri8 music and is being managed by Stephen Forson.
