Teungueth FC were crowned champions of Senegal on Sunday for the second time in a row regardless of a 0-0 draw with 2013/2014 champions, Association Sportive de Pikine (AS Pikine) at the Stade Ngalandou Diouf.
The Atlantic Boys from Rufisque, a coastal city in the Darkar region of Western Senegal ended another successful season with 51 points in 26 matches ahead of second-placed Diambars FC.
This is the second time in the club’s thirteen-year history that they have won the domestic league title – winning the first in the 2019/2020 season.
The club was founded in 2008 under the name of Diokoul FC, but later had the name changed to Teungueth FC in 2011 by the club’s then new president, Babacar Ndiaye.
The victory secured a place for the club in next season’s CAF Champions League qualification stage.
