Dancehall musician Epixode says has demonstrated his readiness to join the illuminati group should the opportunity present itself. He made this known in an interview with Sammy Flex, host of Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM.

According to the musician, people in that group help themselves to grow hence his decision. He said “I want to join illuminati. If they come, I will sign, because I feel like those people actually help themselves. It is crazy!”

His response comes after most the musician’s music videos are likened to the illuminati group.

But the artiste says “I am a creative person, so whenever I am shooting a video, I have to make sure that it tells a story.”

The reigning reggae dancehall artiste also expressed his dissatisfaction in the music industry, equating it to the old adage of ‘Survival of the fittest’, adding that artiste are made to fend for themselves and keep relevance in the market space.

We as artiste it looks like we are fighting an individualistic fight. As much as I Epixode have gotten the space to support, I am looking at my career to further it. I won’t be able to push much support for the upcoming ones. Me as an independent artiste where does the money come from? So if there are avenues where we can go and get these little space, it will help,” he said.

The artiste hinted that, “in my own space, I am trying to set up a foundation which is going to support artiste who come from my side. I grew up seeing so many talented artiste but most of them didn’t get the space we have. What I can do in my little space is, I have a studio, the creative side with the visuals and all that, why can’t I also help these guys record.”

It was reported weeks back that Epixode hinted his price has tripled after he was adjudged Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year at the 22nd edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). Responding to these claims, he told Sammy Flex that, “winning the Reggae/ Dancehall artiste of the year, generally on a larger scale, the brand will have to elevate, it wouldn’t be the Epixode you used to know For me it’s adding up to the numbers and the following is growing, so prices will definitely go up”.
