Security Officials at Sogakope Checkpoint have arrested three travelers with powdered substances believed to be Cocaine.

The three suspects were made up of two Ghanaian nationals and a Nigerian. The two Ghanaian suspects’ names were given as Eric Alorbu 39, and Agbeko Amegavi whose age the security officials were not able to disclose. While Endurance Uche Nna, 39 is a Nigerian.

The suspects were picked from an Accra bound vehicle which they were travel on at around 11:47 a.m. The security officials said Eric Alorbu, Agbeko Amegavi and Endurance Uche Nna were arrested after they received a tipoff from an informant indicating the car they were travelling with.

The Security Officials at the checkpoint indicated that, after a brief check on the suspects revealed they were carrying substances suspected to be Cocain. They were immediately arrested and brought to Accra for further investigations. Reports further explained that the suspected substances would be processed and tested as evidence.

The three parcels were reported to have weighed 1846.2 grams, 1086.1 grams, and 1076.1 grams respectively.
According to the officers who made the arrest, the parcels were being transported from Nigeria to Ghana.
