Paul Adoba and Maame Ataa, the parents, are presently in police custody aiding with the investigation.

An eyewitness told Kasapa FM’s Yaw Boagyan that he was sleeping Friday night when he heard people talking in the distance and went to his window to investigate. He watched the child’s parents and the female pastor burying the living child in a dug hole. When the suspects left, the eyewitness stated he raced to verify what he had seen, only to find the youngster dead and covered up in the hole.

When confronted, the parents claimed that the boy was given to them by the river and that they were returning him.
According to Justice Bonnam, a family spokeswoman, the parents were always concerned about the child’s health. He claimed he had heard they were planning to kill him so they could rest easy.
