The Member of Parliament for Ejura Sekyeredumase Bawa Brimah Mohammed has accused the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area Salisu Bamba of being the mastermind behind the killing of social campaigner Ibrahim Muhammed.
Providing further evidence to back his claim, the MP said the two suspected killers who are currently in custody of Ashanti Regional Police Command, are known body guards of the MCE for Ejura Sekyeredumase, thus have no doubt that he was the brain behind the Friday June 25, 2021 attack on Kaaka.
“The two guys who have been arrested are known body guards of the MCE Salisu Bamba. They are his attack dogs that he uses against his opponents, so he knows them and anybody who disagress with him, he sends them to attack them”
Narrating how he was nearly lynched by the same ‘attack dogs’ of the MCE, Mr. Mohammed said “I was also attacked by the same guys on 6 July during the voter ID registration exercise and they nearly took my life. But I have decided to let sleeping dogs lie because as a leader you need to accommodate certain painful actions. I have opted to lead so, if certain issues come I have to be able to accommodate them”
He also recounted how the two suspects Ibrahim Issaka and Fuseini Alhassan, have involved in beating chiefs and people who dissent with the MCE Mr. Bamba.
He praised the deceased, kaaka, for his courage for bringing to the fore developmental challenges that for so long have, been a challenge in the Ejura Sekyeredumase municipaliy.
“I believe as leaders we need to commend such people and not to harm them because as a leader, your eyes cannot see every corner so if somebody bring those challenges out, it is up to you to address those challenges” he advised.
“As we speak the whole of Ejura is engulfed in filth. All the filth we have removed during my tenure as MCE have all come back,” he said.
He noted that those who put themselves up to be leaders must reckoned that they have not been forced, therefore must be able to tolerate divergent views and opinions.
“No body for force to be leaders, we opted to be leaders. I put myself up and I was elected as MP, you the MCE too you put yourself up to be nominated and so if you cannot accept criticism, you don’t have place among the leaders”
The MP appealed to the youth to remain calm and allow the Police to carry out investigation into the death of Ibrahim Muhammed.
