A local government expert and President for Chamber of Local Governance, (ChaLog) Dr. Richard Fiadomor has opined that two- time rejected nominee for the Juaben Municipal Assembly, Alex Sarfo Kantanka is unserious person for demanding a refund of his alleged bribe he paid to asembly members to confirm him.

The disappointed Nominee was captured in a secretly filmed video, demanding a refund of the bribe he allegedly paid to some assembly members after they rejected him during a nearly chaotic confirmation process.

Alex Sarfo Kantanka, has however been picked by the Ghana police following his public ridicule, but has since been granted a self-recognized bail for further investigation.

In an interview with Mynewsafric.com correspondent Hajar Diko Osman, Dr. Fiadomor said “I think that MCE nominee is not a serious person for coming out to say what he said, because it borders on criminality, if you have gone to “bribe” assembly members, that’s why we are happy the Police picked him.

He insisted that the rejected nominee is not a serious person, saying someone like that cannot work in the local governor’s space.

Dr. Fiadomor  argued that the  actions of the MCE Nominee  is likely to soil  Ghana’s democratic reputation  in the international community and admonished political parties to uphold free and fair elections .
