The leader of the minority cause in Ghana’s Parliament Haruna Iddrisu has described the 2022 budget statement as “krom ay3 shii budget”.

According to the leader of the minority, the budget as was presented by the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, cannot address “the current suffering of Ghanaians”, adding that the indications given by the minister preceding his presentation that the budget represent hope, cannot also be true since there is nothing in the fiscal document for 2022 that can “support the present system”.

“This budget, Mr. Speaker is akrom ay3 shii budget. It cannot support the system, (because) the system is hot”.

Mr. Haruna maintained that while government promised that next year’s budget will ease burden of Ghanaians, the reverse is rather the case, as it has introduced and imposed more taxes.

This budget is not the one that we can say will reduce suffering of our people, No, not this one, the leader of the minority opined.

He also intimated that the finance minister will be credited as the one who borrowed the most in the history of the 4th republic, qualifying him to be entered into the Guinness World Records.

“This finance minister will be credited as one who borrowed most and will go into Guinness Book of Record (sic)”

The minister has not smiled since coming here and it is an evidence that he knows that things are not easy, town is hot, he said while making statement as leader of the minority causes after the presentation.
