Security Analyst, Adib Saani, has expressed disappointment over the attempted arrest of Madina MP, Francis Xavier Sosu on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Hon Francis Xavier Sosu was nearly arrested by some personnel of the Ghana Police Service at the Believers Church on were he worships on Sunday.

Speaking to Mynewsafric, Adib Saani said the approach was a “no” for him and also a disrespect to the speaker of Parliament.

It is quite disappointing an MP is hunted like a serial killer. The laws must be enforced and I expected the Police Service to have known better and pursue the matter the right way, “ he added.

He also argued that  “The speaker might have declined the Police request because of the initial actions they took. Its quite disrespectful to the speaker to have made those infantile moves only to return to him to release one of his own. If I were him, I wouldn’t either,” he added

Adib Saane said inasmuch as it is imperative to investigate the matter if the police suspects criminal culpability, it is also equally important that the right and lawful route be taken to achieve that.

As lawmakers, parliamentarians should rather be the protectors of the law and show utmost respect for it as nobody is above the law” he concluded.

In recent development, the Ghana Police Service deny to have sent aby of it personnel to arrest the MP.
