The Chief Director of the Ministry Of Food And Agriculture Ghana (MoFA), Robert P. Ankobiah on behalf of the sector Minister, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto bid farewell to some graduate students in Agriculture under the Agritop-MoFA Greenhouse Project for an internship in Israel.
This is one of such projects Ghana and Israel collaborate on to strengthen relations.
The students will be in Israel for an Internship programme that involves practical training on the farms.
Mr. Ankobiah urged the students to serve as ambassadors and represent Ghana well while in Israel, adding that their predecessors put up good behaviour during their internship and thus, they should do same.
Some of the students who spoke to the press said the internship is meant to understudy Israeli technology and implement them in the Agric sector when they are back home to Ghana.
The said the programme will equip them with the technical know-how to change the face of Ghana’s agricultural sector with the skills and knowledge the will acquire.
The benefactors of the exchange programme believed it will serve as catalyst in modernizing agriculture in the country while ensuring food security.
