Member of Parliament for Keta constituency, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey has called for central government intervention to mitigate the havoc caused by the tidal wave that happened over the weekend.

According to Kwame Dzudzorli the heavy tidal waves that affected Keta and its environs on Saturday, November 6, has destroyed several properties and rendered hundreds of people homeless in the area.

“Several people including women and children as we speak do not have places to sleep and no food to eat since the incident happened on Saturday”.

Speaking to Mynewsafric.com, the MP appealed to the central government and other organizations for support.

Meanwhile he expressed concern about the BECE candidates in the constituency preparing towards their exams.

Several Communities within Keta and its environs are still in distress as result of the heavy tidal waves that swept away many properties along that stretch.
