The Academic Board of Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has postponed reopening of the 2021/2022 Academic Year to Monday, January 10, 2022.

The decision was arrived at after an emergency Meeting held on Friday, November 12, 2021, a statement from the school said.

“The Academic Board after careful consideration decided to postpone the beginning of the 2021/2022 Academic Year to Monday, 10th January 2022”.

However, the school’s management said registration for the 2021/2022 Academic Year is still open and will end on Friday, December 24, 2021.

“Late registration with penalty will end on Friday, 7th January, 2022. Lectures for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year will commence on 10th January, 2022 for all students”.

“Management wishes to express profound appreciation to all students for their cooperation in these unusual times” the statement said.
