The Director of Communications at the Jubilee House Eugene Arhin, has built and commissioned a well furnished Library and ICT Center for students and people of Awutu Breku in the Central Region in fulfillment of a promise he made to them.

In February this year, he met the Awutu Traditional Council and asked for land to construct a library which was granted.

The result is the state-of-the-art ICT center which was commissioned on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

The Director of Communication at the Presidency who is also the founder of Eugen Arhin Foundation, has promised to build more of such facilities in the Awutu Senya West, specifically at Senya and Bawjiase, which will enhance learning and broadened knowledge of students living in those areas.

In a short speech to the students who gathered at the handing over ceremony, Mr. Arhin remarked “I entered the University before stepping foot in a library. Some of us didn’t get the opportunity when we were growing up. I have done this for you. It will therefore hurt some of us if you don’t make good use of it. Once you learn you make yourself a better person. And you will exceed where some of us have gotten to”.

He urged the community and the students to ensure that the facility is put to good use as well as practice maintenance culture in protecting the properties so generations to come will also benefit from it.
