The driver of the black Mercedes Benz with registration C-63-18 who was seen in a viral video spinning round under a traffic light in Accra, has been arrested.

Police in Accra on Sunday October 24, 2021, picked one Kofi Sasa who was reported to have been the one driving the said car on the day of the incident.

In the video, the driver of the Mercedes Benz car, initially parked in the median of the road, put the gear in neutral, accelerated to release some thick fumes before driving into the opposite lane.

With other motorists and pedestrians thinking he was going to do a left, and in the process jumped red light, to their amusement Kofi Sasa did a 360 degrees turn in front of the other vehicles that have stopped for the red light. He then made a second 360 turn before driving off through the red light.

The video of him committing the act was shared on social media on Saturday October 23, 2021 which quickly went viral with some commentators calling on the Ghana’s IGP to act.

Kofi Sasa was located and arrested for further investigation.

After he was admitted to bail, Kofi Sasa will be arraigned before court on Monday, October 25, 2021.
