The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu has appeared at the Federal high court in Abuja on Thursday morning 21, 2021.

He is being tried before Justice Binta Nyako over charges of treasonable felony and terrorism.

According to the punch newspaper Kanu arrived at the Federal high court amidst tight security.

“He was brought to the court on a black Sports Utility Vehicles at about 8am and Journalists, lawyers and staff of the FHC were barred from entering the court premises”.

The Federal court banged him with seven-count charges last week.

Mr. Kanu was granted bail in April 2017 but flew the country after his home in Afar-ukwu in Abia State was ransacked by the military.

But in June the Attorney General announced that Mr. Kanu was rearrested and brought back into the country to continue facing his trial.
