Veteran actor Psalm Adjeteyfio popularly known as TT says he has for some time now, been misrepresented in the media space.

About a month ago, a video of TT went viral appealing for Gh 3,000.00 to enable him pay his rent to avoid an eviction. This video received a lot of sympathy from Ghanaians who loved his craft and offered help.

Notable amongst them was the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamoud Bawumia who assisted TT with GH₵50,000 to settle his bills as well as to enable him buy medications.

In recent articles sited by Mynewsafric.com, it was reported that the legendary actor owes Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) a sum total of GH₵8,000.00 and was again begging for alms.

Speaking to Arnold Alavanyo Mensah on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda, the actor rubbished claims of him begging to pay his ECG bills.

“I have been grossly misrepresented and i have been hearing people saying all sort of things about me. I wouldn’t be asking people to send me money to pay my bills. I haven’t come out to say anyone should help me pay my ECG bills.”

Touching on the issue he has with ECG, he told the host that ECG doesn’t bring him bills until he goes to their office to enquire.

“ECG doesn’t bring bills unless we go to them. They said we were owing 4,000 Ghana. I got money and paid 700 Ghana in a roll within a month. But the bills kept coming.”

He revealed with sadness that it came as a surprise to him about a month ago when ECG told his son that what they were actually paying is ‘estimated’ bills and not the actual bills and hence had an outstanding debt of GH₵8,000

“We paid about 65, million(old Ghana cedis) to ECG and they said all we paid was estimated. ECG came again to say we owe 80 million. All that we have been paying about 65 million is estimated and I am asking how possible? So they have asked my son to take pictures to help them in preparing the bill.”

In a related development, TT has disclosed that he saved the money sent to him by Dr. Bawumia, adding “I didn’t take 1Ghana out of the money he gave me. I put it in investments. I am hoping not to touch it till 6months or a year.”
