Serbian former Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac, is highly being tipped to be the next head coach for the Ghana’s male senior soccer team, the Black Stars.
Mynewsafric.com have picked up intensive signals from corridors of the country’s football governing body, GFA, on Wednesday September 15, 2021, that among the coaches being considered is the Serbian.
Some expects in the sports arena have placed their hope in Mr. Rajevac to be the one who can turn the fortunes of the Black Stars around. They believe with Milovan Rajevac spending some time with the team in the past, places him top of the piles since he may know a thing or two about the directions of the team.
The 67-year-old Serbian was previously in charge of the Ghana national team, leading them to the CHAN final in 2000, the AFCON final in 2010 and the quarter-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Words from the walls of GFA also mentioned that the association was initially considering the candidature of former Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire coach, Herve Renard. But his demands of $100,000 a month, have been cited as the reason for settling on Coach Rajevac, awaiting approval.
Other names considered for the job include former Black Stars winger Otto Addo, who currently works as an assistant coach at German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
