Contemporary highlife musician and instrumentalists, Kumi Guitar has shared some memories he had with the late highlife legend Nana Ampadu.

Recounting his moments with the Legend, he told Sammy Flex, host of Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon FM that during the making of his ‘Dream’ song Nana Ampadu was one who would encourage him to keep heads up on what he was doing.

He is one person who encourages you to keep moving, whatever you’re doing keep moving and you will be recognized.”

He expressed sadness on the sudden demise of the legend and called on his colleagues to celebrate the legends while they are alive.

“Let’s not wait till these things happen. A few of them are still alive, let’s try and get connected so that we can pass on their legacies to the younger ones.”

Nana Kwame Ampadu was confirmed dead earlier today. He died at the age of 75. He was a Ghanaian musician who was known to have composed over 800 songs.

He formed the African Brothers Band in 1963 with Eddie Donkor as one of the founding fathers.
