The family of social media activist Ibrahim Mohammed alias Kaaka Macho, has rejected and described as falsehood, recommendation of the three member ministerial committee on Ejura, which said their son died as a result of family feud.

Spokesperson of the family Nafiu Mohammed claimed the report by the Justice George Kingsley Koomson’s led committee replete with “factual inaccuracies” thus cannot be accepted by the family.

Justifying his position, Mr. Mohammed said accounts of some of the people who testified before the committee were inaccurate and cannot represent the true reflection of what actually happened to Kaaka Macho.

In an interviewed on Citi FM monitored by Mynewsafric.com on Monday September27, 2021, shortly after the committee presented its findings, Mr. Mohammed said “We’re shocked and scared by the report. It is full of factual inaccuracies but we can’t do anything about it. I have a lot of things but we won’t talk now”.

The committee’s report set to investigate the death of a social media activist Ibrahim Mohammed alias Kaaka Macho indicated among its findings that, after careful examination of the evidence relating to the events preceding the death of Kaaka, “We are convinced that the evidence as testified to by Sadia Fuseini is more reasonably probable than the unsubstantiated evidence of Abeewakas and Sahada Hudu which are more speculative. We, accordingly find that the death of “Kaaka” was not directly linked to his social media activism. It is more probably a family feud. This is also supported by the testimony of Aminu Mohammed a resident of Ejura and a friend of the late “Kaaka”.

However, families of the slain social activist disagreed with the committee’s report. Nafiu Mohammed said the family will not accept the report, describing it as “full of inaccuracies and conjuring of falsehood”.

“Even we have problem with the people who appeared in camera. How do we know what they said there and how do we respond. For the committee to have concluded that our brother died as a result of family feud is falsehood, it is not true. We don’t have anything like that”, the spokesperson stressed.
