Lawyers of Founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministry International Prophet Owusu Bempah have secured bail of GHC200, 000 for their client on Wednesday September 15, 2021.

The bail that was granted by High Court in Accra has also come with two sureties.

This was after the lawyer for the beleaguered preacher Garry Nimako moved the bail application before the court presided over by Justice Comfort Tasiame.

The preacher on Monday September 13, 2021, was remanded in Police custody with four other of his accomplices.  This was after his legal team tried to secure their freedom but was refused by the trial judge Her Honour Afia Owusua Appiah.

Mr. Bempah and Mensah Ofori are facing two counts of offensive Conduct Conducive to the breach of peace and threat of death.

Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene and Nathaniel Agyekum were slapped with assault on a public officer.

They have all pleaded not guilty to the charges pressed against them.

The next hearing of the case is September 20, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Glorious Word Power Ministries International has issued a statement to apologize to journalists who were attacked by some church members at the court on Monday when their leader first appeared.
