Ghanaian renowned filmmaker and talent manager Kofi Asamoah has refuted claims that musician Efya Nokturnal bought Moesha’s car.

Speaking in a latest interview, the filmmaker said Efya did not buy the range rover, but rather she brought someone to buy the car.

I did not say Efya bought the car, who owns the car. I said that it is Efya who brought the person who bought the car, errrrhm it is through Efya that the person got the car. It is Efya that we know, and so Efya is not the owner of the car. It is another musician, how do we say it, errrh an artiste at the time who was working with Efya,” Kofi Asamoah explained.

So Efya did not buy the car that she is buying for herself, or it is not Efya who came to buy the car for herself. It is that particular person whose name we are withholding for now. So I want to clarify that it is not Efya who bought the car that she owns the car,” he stressed.

This comes after it was reported a week ago that Moesha Buduong had sold her Range Rover Evoque for $15,000.00 to singer Efya.

Touching on claims that he and Moesha’s family neglected the actress leading to her suicide attempt, Mr. Asamoah said, “From the day that thing happened, Moesha drives herself to Church, and back home. When she wakes up in the morning, she goes for jogging, and comes back home. She can drive out to buy her Waakye in the morning and attend to other issues and comes back home. And Moesha has no record of suicide or whatsoever. Ever since she repented, everything was ok.”

Adding that, “And the day she went out, it was just like all the other days she goes by herself. She can drive to church and attend to other issues, and comes back home to sleep as a regular day. We didn’t know that, the family didn’t know that today that she is going out, this is what she has in mind. It is not like the family were just sitting there. If it was something which has ever happened before and you could say this has happened before, so why did you allow her go by herself? That day was a day that was unexpected, and it never came to mind that she can go out and want to commit suicide or something.”
