Giving account of what transpired when she accompanied her son to the School to complete processes for his admission said, the first person to approach her was the Day students’ Prefect.

Madam Myers stated that the prefect’s remarks were really reassuring.

Tyrone Marhguy and Oheneba Nkrabea were refused entrance to Achimota School due to their refusal to cut their dreadlocks, despite the fact that they completed their qualifying tests and were selected for the school using a computerized placement system. They both proceeded to curt where the court through Justice Gifty Adjei Addo directed that Achimota School allow the two Rastafarian students.

Justice Gifty Agyei Addo, who delivered the ruling in the matter of two Rastafarian boys, found that the Attorney-General failed to offer a legal explanation for restricting the rights of the two Rastafarian pupils to education on the grounds of their dreadlocks.
