Youth in Ejura Sekyeredumase are demanding swift justice for slain social campaigner Ibrahim Mohammed.

Tuesday morning, the youth converged and matched through the principal streets of the town holding placards and chanting war songs. Their demand was simple, justice for one of their own who they believe was assassinated because of his zeal to see Ejura Sekyeredumase advance in development.

Although the youths did not mention any names apart from the two suspects who are in the custody of the Police, to be behind the killing of Kaaka, they are however convinced that the killing was politically motivated and sponsored by people in power, who were not pleased with his social campaigns.

Reports have it that four persons have been shot when the youth of Ejura Sekyeredumase clashed with the military and police officers during the course of the Tuesday protest.

Although the Ejura Police informed the youth about the earlier arrest of Ibrahim Issaka and Fuseini Alhassan, as suspects who had hand in the death of their ‘hero’, Kaaka, the youth insisted the two were just used for a ‘dirty job’ saying there are invisible hands that must be identified and arrested.

The angry youth burnt tyres on some major streets as a sign of anger following the death their colleague.
They want justice to be served immediately to serve deterrent to other criminals in the town.

One of the protesters was heard saying “Our town is peaceful and what Kaaka wanted was just development, but some of our big ‘mens’ don’t want that, so they have killed him” he alleged.
