Beyoncé had a wonderful outing at the 63rd Grammy Awards by winning two gramophones making her the most awarded female artist at this ceremony, with twenty-eight awards.

Taylor Swift, who won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for Folklore, becomes, after Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra and Paul Simon, the first female artist to win three times the award for Album of the Year (she had already received this coveted Grammy for Fearless in 2010 and 1989 in 2016.)

Rapper Meghan Thee Stallion received the prestigious Grammy for “revelation of the year”, a first for a rap artist since Lauryn Hill in 1999. The artist was also awarded for her duet with Cardi B on WAP and her hit Savage with Beyoncé’s participation on a remix, which won her the “best rap performance” and “best rap song” awards.

Billie Eilish also walked away with two awards, including Recording of the Year for Everything I Wanted, for the second year in a row.

The Grammy Award Winners List

The 2021 Grammy Awards ceremony, which gave pride of place to women, rewarded a host of artists. The American high mass of music comprising a total of 83 categories, here is the prize list in the main ones:

• Best Solo Pop Performance : Watermelon Sugar , Harry Styles
• Best Pop Performance by a Duo / Group : Rain On Me , Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande
• Best R&B Album : Bigger Love , John Legend
• Best R&B Song : Better Than I Imagine , Robert Glasper, Meshell Ndegeocello and Gabriella Wilson
• Best R&B Performance : Black Parade , Beyoncé
• Best Progressive R&B Album : It Is What It Is , Thundercat
• Best Traditional R&B Performance : Anything for You , Ledisi
• Best Rock Album : The New Abnormal , The Strokes
• Best Rock Song : Stay High , Brittany Howard
• Best Rock Performance : Shameika , Fiona Apple
• Best Rap Album : King’s Disease , Nas
• Best Rap Song : Savage , Beyoncé, Shawn Carter, Brittany Hazzard, Derrick Milano, Terius Nash, Megan Pete, Bobby Session Jr., Jordan Kyle Lanier Thorpe and Anthony White
• Best Rap Performance : Savage , Megan Thee Stallion Featuring Beyoncé
• Best Country Album : Wildcard , Miranda Lambert
