The Okaikwei Community Association (OCA), a social network, is to feed over 3,000 residents on the eve of this year’s Farmers’ Day celebration in the Okaikwei North Municipality and Okaikwei South Sub-Metro.

The event, dubbed “feed a community” will provide meals and assorted beverages to the local people in fulfilment of the “Eat Ghana, Drink Ghana” campaign.

A statement issued in Accra by the network said no child or adult would go hungry during the Farmers’ Day.

It said the event would start at 12 noon on Friday 3, December at the Harvest Chapel (GA-306-2978) and Tesano Cottage (GA-255-5896).

The statement said the celebration was also to acknowledge the hard work of farmers and demonstrate the self-sufficiency in food production in line with the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda.

It said the famous Ozim Zim Band would perform at the event and encouraged the residents to participate in the celebration.
