CEO of the National Youth Authority, Hon. Pius Enam Hadzide has said the primacy of the Authority within the youth development space must be etched in the hearts and minds of the youth.

This he said can only be attained when the NYA fully assumes its rightful position as the statutory body mandated with facilitating the development of the country’s youth.

Hon. Hadzide made the remarks during the opening of his first joint meeting with management from the Head Office as well as regional directors of the Authority on Tuesday, 9th November 2021 at the Royal Senchi Hotel at Akosombo.

Touching on some programs and activities undertaken by the Authority since he assumed office as CEO, Hon. Hadzide commended all present for their invaluable roles during the recently held YouthConnekt Africa Summit which convened over 2000 youth from across Africa in Accra, the Africa Youth Day commemoration which saw the launch of the “Safeguarding the Teenage Girl” campaign and a meeting with leaders of youth wings of various political parties all geared at enhancing the welfare of the Ghanaian youth.

In attendance was Mr. Nelson Owusu Ansah, Deputy CEO for Operations and Programmes.

The meeting is expected to end on Thursday, 11th November 2021 with presentations expected to be done by the regional directors as well as directors from the Head Office and training in Corporate Governance.
