The host of Zylofon FM morning show Noel Nutsugah has called on Ghanaian politicians to emulate the ‘shining’ examples of newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akufo Dampare.
Mr. Nutsugah Ghana made the call on Monday October 25, 2021 on his show.
He argued that Dr. Dampare within very short time of his appointment, has proven that the Ghanaian system can work, if the right people are put in position, adding that “it means as an individual, you can actually cause a change”.
“Now, every small arrest in the capital and the country at large, dampare’s name is mentioned, whether he knows of it or not. What it means is that as an individual, you can actually cause a change”.
Mr. Nutsugah insisted that “If Dampare (sic) can single handedly change a rotten system, it is possible we can change this system”.
He continued that “Today if I’m driving in town, I’m more careful than in the days before because I know there is a certain Police regime now you cannot fool with, so I have become more cautious.
“That is what we talk about when we say fix the country, so that if the system begin working, we individuals will automatically adjust” he stressed.
He observed that if the system works, no individual can consider themselves bigger than the system, saying “It is possible for our politicians to know that if they do the right thing, the citizen will come out to hail them”.
Today we are hailing Dr. Dampare even if he doesn’t know about the arrest, his name is mentioned and he is been celebrated for causing change in the system, that is what our politicians should know and that is what we are looking for. If the politicians do their job, we the citizens will come out to hail them, Mr. Nutsugah noted.
