Legal practitioner George Tetteh Wayoe says Dancehall musician Shatta Wale could spend up to three (3) years behind bars if found guilty.

He explain that the actions of the trio can be classified as misdemeanor hence anyone found guilty is likely to spend three years in jail.

News about Shatta Wale being shot by some unknown gunmen surfaced on Monday October 18, 2021.

Social media was awashed with the alleged incident which took place at East Legon, a suburb of Accra.

Nana Dhope, Shatta Wale’s personal assistant twitted that his Boss was rushed to an unnamed hospital for emergency treatment.

Ghana Police Service upon hearing the incident, deployed uniform men to look for the Ghanaian celebrity, leading to a statement from the Police claiming the artist could not be found.

24 hours after the alleged shooting and his disappearance, Shatta Wale resurfaced with message that he intentionally orchestrated the entire shooting incident to raise awareness on how actions of some “so called prophets” are hurting people in the Ghanaian society but silently.

However, in an interview with Arnold Alavanyo on Showbiz Agenda, Tuesday October 19, 2021, Mr. Wayoe said the actions of the musician constitute what is described in law as causing fear and panic judging from the content of the information he put out.

Shatta Wale admitted that he took the mobile phones of two of his “boys” to send out the information which formed the basis for his actions and public confusions afterward.

The police in the early hours of Tuesday picked up Jesus Ahuofe the pastor who prophesied that the musician will be shot dead on October 18, 2021.

Shatta Wale who was on the run turned himself in the late hours of Tuesday October 19, 2021.

Shatta Wale and his Personal assistant Nana Dope have been arrested over the fake shooting claim.

The Police announced the arrest on their Facebook wall Tuesday evening. A third person Deportee has also been named in the arrest.

The Police said the three have been arrested for allegedly spreading false information and intending to cause fear and panic.
