Madam Veronica Alele Heming who was renominated by President Nana Akufo-Addo for the Bole District Chief Executive (DCE) position has been confirmed by members of the Bole District Assembly.

She secured 31 out of the 39 votes cast with no rejected ballot.

Supervised by the Electoral Commission, several high-profile persons including the Savannah Region representative at the Council of State Kpongriwura Alhaji Adam Zakaria were at the voting center to ensure a successful event.

Madam Veronica Alele Heming would continue her second term as President Akufo-Addo’s representative at the home District of Former President John Dramani Mahama, who was also the leader of the National Democratic Congress in the 2020 general elections.

She was one of the two nominees by the President who were rejected in the Savannah Region during the first confirmation of the Municipal and District Chief Executives.

During the first vote on 6th October, 2021, she polled 17 ‘Yes’ votes representing 43.58% while 22 voted ‘No’ representing 56.41% out of the 39 votes cast.

Madam Veronica Alele Heming needed to secure26 votes or more; 2/3 of the total vote cast to confirm her as DCE.
