The Ghana Police Service has interdicted the personal bodyguard of Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency.

Inspector Daniel Agbavor according to Police statement released on October 31, 2021 has been interdicted for what it described as “misconduct”.

“The Police guard previously assigned to the Member of Parliament for the Madina Constituency, Inspector Daniel Agbavor, has been interdicted for alleged misconduct”, the statement read.

The statement said on Monday October 25, 2021 Inspector Daniel Agbavor “recklessly driven into a crowd after a protest in the Madina Constituency, directly endangering the lives of two Senior Officers and other civilians.

It said the two officers have officially reported the incident to the Police Administration for investigations and possible disciplinary action.

The statement however confirmed the earlier post by the head of security for the MP who alleged that Mr. Agbavor had been asked by the Police administration to go home even before an official statement.
