To improve service delivery to its clients, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) will rely on the integration of its biometric card and other technology systems.
This is likely to aid in the crackdown on unauthorized operators in the system while also increasing income for the country.
Acting Director of Finance at the DVLA, Andrews Denteh, said this after the authority was named best state-owned firm in customer service at the 10th World Marketing Awards in Accra.
“There were issues where people would create their own number plate and occasionally duplicate number plates, and I can assure you that part of the digitisation process would assist us in dealing with the challenge“.
Mr. Denteh is hopeful that with the coming on stream of the technology and collaboration with the Police Service and other stakeholders, all leakages in the system will be closed thereby raking in the appropriate income for the state.
”We believe that with the use of technology and collaboration with our stakeholders, the police, and others, all of these leakages will be closed and the appropriate income will be collected by the DVLA or the state”.
In the last ten years, the World Marketing Awards have recognized brands and individuals who have excelled in their area via innovation, value creation, and service delivery.
