The President of the Ghana arm-wrestling Federation Charles Osei Asibey has launched a scathing attack on delegates who voted at the Ghana Olympic committee elections today saying some voted against their conscience.

Incumbent Ben Nunoo Mensah retained the slot with 35 votes. His challenger Richard Akpokavi got 28 votes

Prior to the elections, there were two camps that were involved in the process. Incumbent Ben Nunoo Mensah had his team which was known as the green team with former general Secretary Richard Akpokavi also with the yellow team.

“That’s sports for you, sometimes you win or lose but I will always be an advocate for sports because I’m still the president of the Ghana Armwrestling federation.

“I’m not disappointed but rather disappointed in those who did not vote with conscience,” he told Starr sports.
